Fire Protection & High-Temperature Vermiculite

Exfoliated vermiculite is widely used as a lightweight mineral component in fire-protection, thermal-insulation and high-temperature applications. Its low bulk density, non-combustible mineral nature and thermal characteristics make it useful in a variety of construction and industrial formulations.

Vermiculite in Fire-Protection Products

Expanded vermiculite is used as a lightweight aggregate and functional mineral component in formulated fire-protection and insulation products. Depending on the application, it may be combined with binders and other materials to produce lightweight plasters, boards, coatings, mortars and insulating products.

Construction & Thermal Applications

Vermiculite can also be incorporated into lightweight cementitious mixes, screeds, renders and other construction products where reduced density and thermal-insulation characteristics are required.

Multiple Vermiculite Grades

VX Resources supplies Superfine, Fine and Medium Vermiculite in standard 4 cu. ft. commercial bags.

Large/Coarse Vermiculite and Micron Vermiculite may also be available on request for customers requiring different particle profiles.

Application-Specific Requirements
